Paradox and Progress: Exploring Urban Culture in Amsterdam through Interdisciplinary e-Research. Amsterdam is renowned for progressive social policy and institutionally sponsored social research initiatives. In the summer of 2006, Honors students from across disciplines engaged in small-group research projects in collaboration with the Virtual Knowledge Studio at the University of Amsterdam. This four-week program began in Amsterdam and culminated with student-lead conference presentations at the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
